THE SHORT STORY…

  • I’ve been shooting professionally for 15 years

  • I will always take the scenic route (and appreciate my husband’s endless patience)

  • If I see a field of wildflowers, I will ask you to get in it

  • I have a way of playing with light that evokes a magical feeling in my photographs

  • My images are timeless, clean, playful, natural, vibrant, and emotional

  • I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, but the small, intimate celebrations hold a special place in my heart

  • I'm told I have an infectious laugh reminiscent of my mom's

  • I almost always want to be swimming in the ocean or sitting by a campfire

  • Moving to Maine was a “follow your gut, Lindsay” kind of decision (And, boy was my gut right!)

  • The LaCasse boys are my world

The Long Story…

Lindsay has been telling stories through her stunning photographs for as long as she can remember. Her love of photography began at a young age in her high school dark room in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She went on to study fine art film photography at Loyola University in Maryland, where she honed her technical skills and an artful eye for composition. Upon graduation, Lindsay moved to the island of Nantucket, where she apprenticed under esteemed wedding and portrait photographer Cary Hazlegrove. It was through this experience that she discovered her passion and talent for photographing people.

Lindsay later moved to Boston where she continued photographing families and weddings while branching into commercial photography as well. Her commercial work was primarily focused on creating marketing content for restaurants, which is where she  discovered a penchant for capturing interior spaces and design. This led Lindsay to her next endeavor as a freelance photographer for Airbnb. This position allowed Lindsay the opportunity to travel and bring her photography talents with her from Boston to Spain, documenting the people, places, food, and culture of Barcelona’s diverse neighborhoods.

Next stop Seattle, where Lindsay spent six years refocusing her business on her love of documenting love - photographing weddings, elopements, engagements, and families from coast to coast and internationally. In 2018, she gave in to New England’s nostalgic way of pulling on heart strings and returned home, ultimately following her heart and making her way to Maine - truly, the way life should be.

It was in Portland where Lindsay embarked on her biggest adventure of all and found the love of her life, Sam. Exactly one year later, the two got engaged on top of Mount Kineo overlooking Moosehead Lake. And two weeks after that, they got married in an intimate ceremony overlooking the Scarborough marsh in all its warm autumnal beauty with their parents as witnesses. (Don’t worry, they threw a big old party with friends and family the following year!)

Lindsay and Sam now live in Cumberland with two adorable and wild little boys, River and Wylie and their beloved pup named Oakie. When Lindsay is not shooting, she can be found picnicking on the beach with her family in the summer, hiking in the fall, and skiing Maine’s mountains in the winter.
